Pillows are done!

I have finally finished both pillows. I should really stop making two pillows for this swap, since it just makes my life more difficult! It makes me have to choose which one to send.

I am 99% sure I am going to send this one:

Pillow is complete!

It got a lot more love in the flickr pool. But, just to show you the other one:

I was really quite proud of myself on these pillows. I not only put in piping, but, I also put in an invisible zipper! I have put in both piping and an invisible zipper before, but never both together. I do have to say there may have been some curse words that left my mouth, but I think it looks just great.

I also got my very first custom sewing job. One of my daughter's friends has asked Santa for a purple house coat, with polka dots. Her mom has searched high and low for one to fit the bill, but can't seem to find one anywhere. So, I am sewing one. FUN! Let me tell you, it wasn't all that easy to find fabric either. The craziest part is that this sewing job has to be done after hours since my daughter can't see me sewing it.

To all of you in the U.S., I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving!!

  1. I LOVE the pillows! Your swap recipient should be happy with either. I was amazed that my toddler managed not even to make a peep about the quilt I made his friend and her new baby sister, so you might get away with some daytime sewing!

  2. I love the colors of your pillows, I like the crisp look
    against the white material.

You should enter this into my sewing challenge blog
    here at,
    Paula's sewing challenges,
    and you could win
    a little something, something.

Hope to see you there soon.

  3. I love them both but the first one is my favorite.
